The Brand Story of Aran Foods

Where Ancestral Wisdom Returns to the Table
In the coastal town of Adirampattinam, where the Bay of Bengal breeze carries the scent of paddy fields, Aran Foods began with a homecoming. After years of building a comfortable life in the UAE, founder Mohammed Ibrahim returned to India during the COVID-19 pandemic — and saw his homeland with new eyes. Children were growing weaker, elders battled unfamiliar illnesses, and families were surrounded by colourful packets that filled stomachs but starved bodies. One question refused to leave him: when did we, the children of a great Tamil civilization, forget that our food was once our medicine

That question became a calling. Ibrahim studied ancient grains, sat with elders who still remembered the old ways, and rediscovered the wisdom our ancestors had known by heart - millets, native rice varieties, cold-pressed oils, and traditional spices that healed naturally and kept generations strong. Inspired by Nam Aalvar, the guardian of Tamil organic wisdom, he walked into the fields of Thanjavur and joined hands with farmers who refused to poison the soil. Together, they began growing food the way it was always meant to be grown.

From these ancestral lands, Aran Foods was born. In Tamizh, Aran means protection - the shield our ancestors built around their families through pure food, mindful habits, and love for the soil. Every Aran product is crafted free from chemicals and shortcuts, carrying within it the strength of generations. This is more than a brand. It is a homecoming, a promise, and a return to the table our ancestors set for us, long, long ago.
